  I don’t know whether they will be able to communicate using spoken language: I don’t know whether they have the physical capacity to communicate that way. I vaguely remember that there was a scientist in Africa a while back who could communicate with gorillas using a kind of sign language. I’m sure google would find some links to her.

human are apes so yes in a sense monkeys can talk to us.
