• Question: Why is the desert hot?

      Deserts are not all hot, they’re just dry. I think that antarctica might be classified as a desert because so little precipitation falls there.
      The equatorial regions of the world are hot because they are the parts of the globe that face directly towards the sun, so they get hit by the most direct heat.

      Good answer. I agree, Antarctica is a desert because there is so little life there.
