0 Question: Why do some objects, such as doors and windows, get bigger and smaller? Keywords: door, object, window Asked by sophiecampbell to Mike, Tim, Tom on 5 Jul 2012.

I don’t really understand your question. Sorry. 🙁
Tom Lister answered on 5 Jul 2012:
Some are made out of wood (or the frames in which they fit are) which can swell and shrink as it absorbs moisture or dries out.
Some are made of metal which expands and contracts as it heats up and cools down.
And some are on hypothetical spacecraft for which space-time appears to contort as they approach the speed of light, making them noticably smaller

I hadn’t thought of it that way. Nice answer Tom.
