• Question: Why do fat people like food?

      Highly refined foods, such as sugar and flour, are addictive. They cause strong chemical changes which our bodies condition themselves to.

      There are also comfort elements with food, psychological addictions.

      That is why some fat people like food more than is healthy. Everybody likes food though, even thin people.

      Everyone likes food, we are programmed to as a survival mechanism. Some people’s body chemistry doesn’t deal with it as effectively, and some people get addicted more easily than others.

      Most overweight people are that way because they eat more food than their body needs. The excess is stored as fat for when they do need it. I’ve seen TV programmes suggesting that some obese people hate food, but are addicted to it and can’t stop eating.
