• Question: Why do cats always land on their feet?

      They’re evolved as tree-dwellers, so are good at catching themselves when they inevitably fall. How they do it is by rapidly twisting one part of their body so it’s the right way up, and then the other, I’m sure there are slow-motion movies of this on YouTube.

      Being an experimentalist at heart, I can tell you categorically that they don’t ALWAYS land on their feet.

      I think my parents were unwise letting me and my brothers have a pet cat when we were younger…
