• Question: Why do camels have humps? This question has always baffled me

      Humps are full of fat, so it’s like having a huge belly (only a belly would drag along the floor). That means they can eat loads and then walk for days or weeks before eating again.

      I thought also if they get really dehydrated the fat can be broken down and water is released? Have not checked wikipedia for this :-p
