Some deep burns will be debrided (cut-out) by a surgeon within a few days of the injury, but most are left to heal. Lasers are used at the moment on the scar that’s left. This can be red and sometimes unbearably itchy for years afterwards. The laser treatment helps to get rid of the red appearance and also seems to help reduce itching in most people

Can you imagine it, an itch under a thick scar that you just can’t get to. It must be so frustrating!
