• Question: From the experiments and investigations, what results do you usually get from it? And why do you need to research the lasers?

My PhD involves a computer simulation of light going through skin. I then measure the colour of skin and hope that it agrees with what my simulation says. If it does, then my computer model is able to predict something about the blood vessels in the skin.

At the moment, laser treatments only fade red birth marks a little bit for many people, if we know more about the vessels in them, we will know better what settings to use on the laser to treat them. So I am trying to improve the effectiveness of the treatments we do.
