• Question: could you make a hole in the moon with a laser

      If you had the laser actually on the surface of the moon, yes. If you had it on earth, no because a laser beam spreads out (diverges) as it travels and it would not be a small intense spot by the time it got to the moon. You need an intense spot to make holes with a laser.

      You could focus it at the distance of the moon though Tim! So yes, I think you could.
