• Question: Will cloning ever become a standard medical procedure?

      I think that there is a real chance that we’ll clone organs for transplant. Especially since the population is living longer, and there are fewer donors.

      I saw a TV programme a couple of weeks ago where they implanted a new trachea (windpipe) which had been grown in the laboratory into a patient.

      It’s great for bits of bone too – I really think that it will become a standard medical procedure in the next 20 years.
