      I think lasers are useful in medical and biology. These are belonged to the field of Tom.

      Directly, they can be used to cut out tumours, and disease.
      Indirectly, they’re used to develop all sorts of things that save lives, from measuring the spray from inhalers for asthma (which is one of the things that I do), to helping people design and make safety systems in cars (by measuring the size or speed of parts moving).
